I made my second visit to Guernsey this week and will take over the art advisor role in the summer from John Thirlwall, who is handing over to me so that he can spend more time painting and enjoying his life. We had a great session with primary teachers, which was a “hands on” and fun sculpture workshop, based on aboriginal totemic designs. We also made visits to several schools and saw some exciting display work and children’s art. Everyone has given me such a warm welcome and I am really looking forward to future work and “arty” events on the beautiful little island. Good luck with your upcoming Eisteddfod event.
